2020 In a Nutshell
I think we all can relate that we are relieved that 2020 is over with. We all expected that 2020 was going to be THE YEAR…well it sure was A YEAR!
A lot of things changed and was done differently. Still full of events and adventure. But hey, we all made it through 2020. Kane and I stayed safe and healthy along with our family. We are very blessed that we did stay healthy and that we will continue to.
Even though 2020 seemed like a nutshell, here’s what happened throughout this past year!
January: Kane and I got engagement pictures done, 2020 Women’s Ministry Birthday Bash, Winter Jam and spent a weekend with Maddux.
February: Spending another weekend with Maddux while Sam and Nolan went to Vegas and celebrated by 28th birthday!
March: Team Kelsey Night at the Iowa Wolves, my cousin and his wife came for a weekend, COVID hit and started working from home and celebrated Kane and Maddux’s birthday (same day) in a totally different way.
April: Still working from home but decided to do a theme week to make it seem…not so bad!
May: Kane and I went tux and suit shopping for the wedding and bummed around a lot with our lazy pets (not much of an exciting month)
June: Kane and I did a lot of daytime and outdoor dates. This included getting iced coffee on Saturday afternoons and taking walks around Copper Creek on Friday nights.
July: We celebrated the 4th of July in Kane’s parent’s backyard on the deck and in the pool, Team Kelsey Foundation Golf Tournament and had my drive by Bridal Shower back in my hometown!
August: I had another Bridal Shower/Bachelorette Party (Kane was the bartender), WE GOT MARRIED!!! And went to Galena for a mini honeymoon (instead of traveling/flying to a different state)
September: Went on the annual women’s retreat and had SO MUCH FUN and Brylee was born!!
October: Celebrated Becca with a 90’s theme bridal shower full of clips and scrunchies, Kane and I went to the pumpkin patch and attempted to do a corn maze and enjoyed some hot chocolate and s’mores around the fire.
November: We helped with Operation Christmas Child at the church, celebrated Thanksgiving and decorated for Christmas.
December: Had pictures taken for our Christmas cards, went to Jolly Holiday Lights, celebrated Christmas on Christmas Eve with Kane’s family, went to my mom’s for Christmas and got to also celebrate with my sister, my brother in law and nephew!
This year was certainly something else but it was still full of events…just done in a different way. Hope everyone stayed safe and healthy during 2020. Here’s to 2021!!!
