All Right Now

Ever had a song come to your mind or on your Spotify playlist and INSTANTLY think of a movie that brings back memories? Memories that feel good. Memories that you wish you could go back to and just relive that day? Back to peaceful days that were easy, worry free, relaxing? As I am writing this, the first song that came to my mind was “All Right Now” by Free—which is from the movie Now and Then.

Yes, getting older is part of life. You start adulting, settling down, buying houses, buying a bigger vehicle because your family is growing, making big decisions, starting your career, changing your career, and so on.

The reason why I love feel good movies because it makes me escape reality and what the world is coming to. Takes me back to times where I didn’t have to worry about paying bills or figuring out my life…just sitting in the living room watching a really good movie.

I put a list together of movies that I think are feel good movies that I grew up watching and will continue to put on the TV as background noise and also being slightly invested in it while I’m doing other things. Let me remind you that none of these are any particular order.

  1. That Thing You Do

  2. 10 Things I Hate About You

  3. The Devil Wears Prada (even though this is my #1 favorite movie of all time!!)

  4. Father of the Bride (1 and 2)

  5. Now & Then

  6. A League of Their Own

  7. Sleeping with the Enemy

  8. Steel Magnolias

  9. Never Been Kissed
