10 Things I Do Daily That Make Me Feel Better

Lack of motivation. Gloomy weather. Woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Something happened at work. Something happened between a family member or a friend. Feeling sick. Feeling tired. An unexpected event happened.

We all have something small or maybe even large happen throughout our days that brings us down, upsets us, disappoints us or just being a huge damper on your day. First off, don’t let a moment in your day ruin your day. We all have bad moments in our days but it’s our choice to not let that impact how the rest of our day goes.

I came up with a list that I’d like to share with you all, along with pictures, of what makes me feel better on a daily basis. (these are in no particular order, by the way)

1) Working out. I’m a morning person so 5:00am workouts are what works for me. I like to workout in the morning so that I can get it out of the way to have my evenings open!

2) Enjoying a nice and warm cup of coffee. I’m a huge coffee snob and I love having taking that first sip of coffee in the morning. If you ever want to go get coffee, let me know!

3) Beautifying myself. I love doing my make up and my hair. Creativity has been something that I’ve always enjoyed and expressing. Yes, I work from home and you may ask, “Why do your hair and makeup if you’re not going into the office?” I do this because it makes me feel productive and it makes me feel better about myself.

4) Having my quiet time with Jesus, doing devotionals and journaling. This is very important to me on a daily basis. If I don’t have my quiet time with Jesus my whole day feels off and I feel completely distant.

5) Being cute with my husband. Kane always makes me feel better whether it’s a small compliment, a kiss, a warm hug or a very cheesy joke that he thinks is funny.

6) Eli and Rev cuddles. I love animals and our home would be boring without these two rascals!

7) Talking and video chatting with family. I enjoy phone calls throughout my day from family members and being able to video chat with my nephew and being able to see my nephews!

8) Afternoon tea. I’ve recently gotten back into drinking tea (also for a health reason). There is something about an afternoon warm drink that makes my heart feel better.

9) Listening to Christian music. This is basically all I listen to now, or some oldies. Christian music is very uplifting and something that I can relate to 100%!

10) Getting into comfy clothes & taking off my make up at the end of the day. If guys knew what it feels like to take off your bra at the end of the day, then they would totally understand our moods at the end of the day. I love getting into comfy clothes, taking off my makeup and either lounging around on the couch or crawling into bed.

I hope my list can relate to a couple of you on what makes you feel better throughout the day.

Remember, a bad moment doesn’t make it a bad day.

XO!

E!
