I haven’t posted in a while and decided to jump back into things. The reasoning behind that all is because…well, life happened. In February 2025, Kadence came into our lives straight out of the hospital (something that we were truly praying for!!) so our lives completely changed after that. I started putting my needs of my family first and put my blog on the backburner. I shouldn’t have. But, priorities. Now that Kadence is getting older and busier, I do have time to focus on my blog AFTER her and my family’s needs. That’s weird to say since she’s getting busier but it’s true. Seems like things are a lot easier…well, I guess it’s because she can entertain herself and I watch her play and I get down on the floor to play with her…usually we tend to play kitchen and corn on the cob in the coffee seems to be a specialty.

The main purpose for Married a Michelsen is Faith. Joy. Purpose. and I’m excited to start this back up again.

Picture this:

Meet Emily. Emily is 35, married and loves Jesus. She’s busy and wants a peaceful home. She wishes she spent more time with God. She struggles with comparison (like me), she wants healthy habits, she doesn’t need another influencer…she needs a friend and encouragement. Come sit awhile and read my blog.—no matter who you are.

A cozy corner of the internet where we grow in faith, celebrate everyday joys, and encourage one another along the way.
